1995 CAMPEONATO IBÉRICO DE FREESTYLE, LEIRIA, PORTUGAL
January 28, 2010 @ 10:53 PM - Paulo's Portugese
In 1995 Leiria hosted the “Campeonato Ibérico de Freestyle”. The Ratos Team was in charge of the organization of the contest, a weekend of fun. They build the ramps with all the wood they can “find” on the way to the contest place, and build some sketchy guetto ramps. Invited some punk-rock bands to playing at night, and the party went nuts. Freezing has “hell” inside the pavillon. Two disciplines: Street, Flat, and two categories: Expert and Master. Lots of riders from Portugal and from Spain.
I wrote this little piece about the contest for my skater friends Mag called URBE, #2 JUN/AUG, 1995.
