QUICK TALK! #21 NICK FERREIRA

Since today is a public holiday here in Portugal, I will be here working on my PC on another QUICK TALK!. Two in one day...this time with Nicolas Ferreira, the man behind Holeshot Zine and IntheGnar (Links: http://inthegnar.com/ ; http://www.holeshotbmx.net ).
I can say that I am a recent web-friend with Nick, we start changing emails after I saw an article about holeshot zine in the DIG website, circa one year ago. At that time,not only the zine but his family name too, grab my attention: Ferreira, I’ve thougt to myself, hey!.. this is a portuguese name he must be portuguese, or have some portuguese bloog running on his veins… yes he have some portuguese blood… and he makes an hell of a zine, go buy one...from my Amigo!

2. FAVOURITE SPOT TO RIDE?: Hyde Park, MA Skatepark, New Bedford, MA DIY park, Car Wash Banks in L.A., any shitty spot with my friends
3. BIKE RIDING HEROES?: Taj Mihelich and Joe Rich, Flag, Bob Scerbo, the older guys in New England
4. FAVOURITE VIDEO PART?: Probably Scerbo’s part in the first Animal video or the “friends” section in ¡Sizzla!
5. WHAT’S THE BEST THING ABOUT BMX? It’s a good excuse to hang out with your friends outside.
6. WHAT’S THE WORST THING ABOUT BMX?: Egos and that’s about it. Nothing is really that bad haha.
7. YOUR BIGGEST FEAR IS: Snakes. I don’t know what happened but I have a paralyzing fear.
8. MUST HAVE GADGETS: Camera, pen and paper
9. OTHER THINGS TO DO BESIDES BMX?: Ride wheelies on mid-nineties hardtail mountain bikes, lay in the park with my girlfriend, pet my cat, weekend warrior excursions, work on Holeshot and other projects.
10. THE LAST BOOK YOU READ WAS?: I think it was Travels With Charley by John Steinbeck. I’ve started and not finished a bunch as of recent though, including the high school classic, A Seperate Peace, HAHA.
