QUICK TALK! # 35 ISAAC BARNES, FROM CANADA

II don’t know much about Isaac Barnes, other than his from Canada, rides for, S&M Bikes, 1664 bmx, and One Six bmx/skate shop. I got in contact with him via Chris Moeller, S&M big boss, he sent the little Quick Talk! Questions to Isaac, and Isaac resent the answers to me (after a little help from Will@DIG, thanks!)

NAME: Isaac Barnes
AGE: 23
HOMETOWN: Powell River BC, currently living in Victoria BC.
SPONSORS/HELP: 1664 bmx, S&M Bikes, and One Six bmx/skate shop.
YEARS RIDING: I’m pretty sure it has been about ten years, time flys once your out of high school.

1. INSPIRATIONS: My family, friends, and people who go for what they really want to do in life. Being Happy is key.
2. FAVOURITE SPOT TO RIDE?: No where in particular. I enjoy street riding so i really just like to go out and look for new set ups, i tend to search by myself often. I like anything new, new spots motivate me and get me stoked.
3. BIKE RIDING HEROES?: As far back as I can remember I have always looked up to Jason Enns, Dave Osato, and Van Homan. Enns and Osato because they kill it and are Canadians that made it in BMX. And Homan because he has owned street forever, and just seems so focused and dedicated to what he does.
4. FAVOURITE VIDEO PART?: That’s a tough one cause of how many crazy dudes there are these days, but i would say two section that inspired me to this day are Van Homan, and Jason Enns sections in Little Devil Criminal Mischief.
5. WHAT’S THE BEST THING ABOUT BMX? Being able to do what you want, and hanging out with your friends.
6. WHAT’S THE WORST THING ABOUT BMX?: I would say injuries are the worst for sure.
7. YOUR BIGGEST FEAR IS: I dunno i’m not really too worried about much right now. Probably being physically incapable of riding my bike. thats all I do now so I would have quite a bit of space to fill in haha.
8. MUST HAVE GADGETS: My blackberry, and laptop are pretty handy to have. And my Ipod is nice to have when i’m out and about by myself. That’s about it, I don’t really like having too much stuff. Just a place to live and my bike.
9. OTHER THINGS TO DO BESIDES BMX?: I pretty much just like to hang out with friends, and family, and go with whatever comes my way. I really want to try to work more and do a bit of traveling.
10. THE LAST BOOK YOU READ WAS?: I re-read the Harry Potter books so the last HP book. I don’t care what anyone thinks Harry Potter is a great time!
