  • BACO-A-HO-HO - PRO PARK/STREET

  • posted 8 months, 2 weeks ago
  • Sorry for the slacking on getting this posted. Minimal internet access in Milwaukee, long drives and a few other things slowed it a bit. Yesterday night was the park/street part of Baco that went down at 4Seasons. The park was packed full of riders, beer, girls and old people who looked scared for their lives. The rider list was stacked with some well known names, along side a bunch of unknown locals and other rippers who were throwing bangers. There were even rap battles that would put 8 Mile to shame. In general, it was a good combination for a good time.
In typical Baco fashion, it got underway a little later than planned. That didn’t really phase anyone since everyone was having a good time having a session and hanging out. Once Micah and Catfish got their hands on the mic’s it was on. The contest was similar to the bowl jam where a couple riders went at a time in a jam format. This kept things moving along as fast as they could with the exception of a few overtimes for people to do something big.
Below are a few sketchy photos for you to get an idea of what happened… Sorry if this isn’t very clear, it’s late and there wasn’t much time to sleep this weekend due to after parties.

Micah gave everyone a good tutorial on proper Champ Stance form. Brian Kachinsky started a fire with that move.

I was bummed that Jeff K decided to film over ride. I managed to pull this toboggan photo while people were still goofing around waiting for the contest to start. Expect an edit soon from Jeff from the contest.

J.J Flairty was in one of the earlier groups and was throwing down tricks over the box and spine like this one foot table.

Little Jon has more lines than anyone, and goes higher and faster than a human on a bike should go.

Little Jon opened this gap up, and people started going nuts on it.

Mark Potoczny brought his trails style to the box jumps and laid it flat.

Tony Mortenson came out of hiding for the weekend and threw down some tricks like this 360 tire grab.

Koji Kraft was throwing some Dew Tour bangers like this backflip turndown.

Josh Eilken had a few hot moves like this tuck no hander off the Gatorade slide.

Maddog could be seen going real high and doing flair whips.

Mykel Larrin took the win with some real big tricks like this whip over the huge channel.  I don’t remember the exact order of who won second and third but I think it was Brandon Dosch and then Little Jon for the top 3 spots.

Going through the photos I couldn’t tell who these were of, Sorry. But they were pretty solid.

If you have Twitter and follow some of the people who were at Baco, there’s a chance you might have heard about this. Ryan Wert decided he needed to scale the wall to do a ninja drop into a quarter. It took two tries, but he got it done the second go.

About a second after this photo was snapped, the whole building went insane. There was lasers, screaming, high fives and disbelief all over the place.

This is the tip of the iceberg for how much riding went down. This was a pretty brief overview of what went down. It was hard to get everything that went down, but I know there will be videos popping up that will show it all. I’ve got a special video in the works for tomorrow, so check back…
