Day two was another very sunny and hot day. The venue was open to the public today with vendors all throughout the venue, along side the Taste of Chicago going on just down the street. Thousands of people were about watching Park prelims, Dirt prelims and finals. Park prelims got heated with so many of the biggest names in BMX fighting for the 9 open spots for finals. The top 12 riders will compete tomorrow (Saturday) to see who will come out on top and win the event. Dirt finals got wild with a few of the up and coming riders taking the top spots. Ryan Nyquist held on to his third place, with Brandon Dosch getting bumped from first down to second after Josh Hult came out of no where for the win. Saturday will feature Park finals, Vert prelims and finals.
Pat Laughlin also known as Big Daddy pulling together a solid X-Factor Flair during his run in Park prelims.
Brian Hunt was a crowd favorite with his solid riding along side some killer dance moves.
Rob Darden went down hard in his first heat with this trick. He pulled it smooth the second go at it.
Chris Doyle had some real solid runs with tricks like this 360 invert. It wasn’t quite enough to podium, but it makes for a real good photo every time.
Morgan Wade has some of the best tailwhip extension in BMX with this 360 double whip superman. He didn’t quite make it to finals but still rode well.
Josh Hult, the winner of the Dirt contest, had some wild moves like this 360 barspin to late downside whip.
