  • SETUPS: MILES ROGOISH’S MONGOOSE FRACTION

  • posted 7 months, 2 weeks ago

  • Thread the needle 180 from the nearest bank.

    Name: Miles Rogoish
Sponsors: Mongoose, Osiris Shoes, BSD presque, and Sun Ringle
    Age: Just hit 20. whew!
    Height: Just right.

    Miles kicking it with Elvis.

Frame: Mongoose Fraction, 2010 aftermarket frame droppin’ next year.

    Fork: BSD Ghetto.
Bars: BSD I’m way too loose for this right now, haha.
Grips: Boiled down longnecks… “Black necks."

Bar ends: Some shitty plastic ones Grant from BSD gave me in Glasgow… I think they’re Federal, but fu*k plastic anything, he just wanted me to be safe!

Stem: Kriss Kyle hand me down Redneck. It’s Black… “Black Neck”.
    Brake Lever: Middle finger?

    Brake: Osiris Chino mid Holmes!

Seat: Verde woodgrain grippin, ya dig?

    Seat Post: Animal
Clamp: built in goose.

    Cranks: WeThePeople.
    Sprocket: BSD 28t.

    Pedals: Fly Ruben
Chain and Shadow half link.
Rear Wheel: Ringle’ Shred 9t cassette laced to Sun BIG BALLERS, 36h.
Front Wheel: Ringle’ Shred front hub laced to Sun BIG BALLERS, 36h.

Pegs: Kink Lite? About to get them off because they feel aluminum, maybe they are?

    Rear Tire: Odyssey Path?

Front Tire: Felt Slip knot? My Aitken tire blew up in Germany on the shady cobblestone, so Brian Sadecki hooked me with the Felty.

Weight of bike: 25 I think? Who cares, it doesn’t rattle right now, haha!

    Modifications:
Kush sticker on the downtube, cut bars and forks.

    Describe your personal bike setup:
Big triangles, pinched stem, big hop in my wheels, 2 broken spokes, cranks are too loose or too tight, and my pedal pins are ground down more on one side.

Describe the contents of your personal bike tool bag.
DK random wrench V2… The stem I have is a 1/4 inch allen which isn’t included in a DK tool, but I’ve just been rockin’ the 6mm strip and tighten, haha. Also that tool was thrown away by London airport flying back a few days ago. Fish or Kachinsky, if you see this I need a Random Wrench V2 please!

    Most presque part?
All my BSD presque parts are sweet as hell, but my true ‘presque’ part would be that Felt complete tire, 55 psi max, haha!

What part do you wear through the quickest?
    Pedals, chains, pegs, and sprockets.

What part do you break most often?
Wheels! Thanks to Jon Wells at Sun for always helping me try to roll straight.

Do you patch flat tires or get new tubes?
I don’t get flats unless I’m riding small wallrides with Fred Murray, Haha. New Tubes for sure though.

Which parts are you paranoid about breaking?
    Prototype ones.

Where do your parts go when you’re done with them?
Always handing ‘em around, Justin Coble, James Thomas, or whoever is around to see them coming off first.

Who builds your wheels? Anything special about them?
Jon Wells over at Sun Ringle. They are very special because they’re hand made by a straight 7 foot tall bad ass, with the only spokes still made in America, right where they are assembled, the Sun Warehouse.

    Cassette or freecoaster?
Cassette all day, nothing against freecoastin’, I’m just way too wobbly.

Left side drive or right side drive?
    Right side baby.

    Kevlar bead or regular bead?
What did you just say to me? Haha.

    Plastic pedals or metal?
Metal all day… I need to get new bar ends. Fu*k plastic, that’s for rollerblades. Team pup and suds represent!

Up rail to gap into the bank.

Wallride to euro. This wallride ain’t big enough!
