    How are you?
    I am doing well.

You recently had double knee surgery! What happened?
Last year I had surgery on my right knee to clean up some meniscus damage. While the doctor was cleaning out my knee he noticed that my synthetic ligament was 2/3 torn and he suggested I should get it fixed. Since my knee felt stable and wasn’t bothering me, I put it off. Fast forward to this March, I was on a filming trip in Thailand with a few friends. The trip was going really well. We just got done riding this park all day with the locals when Chris and I found this cool step-up road-gap thing. We jumped it a few times and I wanted to three up it; but it is really hot and humid in Thailand, so even though I had gloves on, my hand slipped off the grip. I somehow managed to get the 360 around, but I had to put my foot down and when I did my left knee twisted. I came home and my doctor said that my left ACL was torn. I figured I might as well kill two birds with one stone and get both knees fixed at the same time. I called BF because he had had that surgery done years ago and I asked if he would recommend it--he did. I went back to my doctor and he agreed to do both knees at once, so here I am.

What else is new in your life?
I have just been geekin’ out the last two weeks on the couch, playing wii, and getting my apple tv to work right since I hacked it.

    Where are you right now?
I am at home on the couch.

What does your average daily routine consist of these days since the surgery?
Until this week I had some pretty heavy couch sessions but physical therapy has been helping a lot, so now I feel like I am becoming a human again. It’s amazing how psyched I am to just be able to drive again; just being out of the house is so nice. I have been filling my days lately with visiting friends and family, and going to physical therapy two or three times a week. As I get more mobile, I am going to start a SCUBA diving program and

When do you expect to be back on your bike?
I don’t have an answer for that yet. I am working really hard at physical therapy to be back on my bike as soon as possible, but it is just too early to know when that is.

Tell us something people might not know about you.
I haven’t shaved since I hurt my knee in March.

What does 2009 have in store for you?
Hopefully more good times then bad. I think I have already met my quota for injuries.

    Any plans for tonight?
I am heading up to CTI to get sized for a left knee brace and then going to see Kachinsky in Huntington Beach.
