How are you?
Things are good, not quit to the settled idea I have in my mind. But, I am getting there. We (my wife and I) opened the coffee shop and things are great with it, but now we have to move. We are looking into getting a new apartment one block from the shop. So once that is settled it is going to be ten times better.
What’s new in your life?
Like I was saying I just opened a coffee shop in North Center, Chicago. Its called Delicious Cafe. It is located in a cosy little pocket in Chicago where all the quiet families and business class live. It is where established artists move when they are ready to settle down. Its kind of a dream come true for us.
Where are you right now?
Sitting in Delicious using my free wi-fi… ha ha.
What does your average daily routine consist of these days?
I get up at 5am to head to work. I get off at 1pm, run around town getting stock for the shop. I stretch for a half hour and hit the skatepark, eat and then I’m in bed by 10pm.
It snows a lot in Chicago. What do you do in the winter?
Nothing, It is very boring. This year it wasn’t bad because I spent the whole winter working hard at the shop and getting it dialed in for the summer. I go up to Milwaukee twice a week and down to Krush once a week. I don’t get to ride much in the winter but that is ok because it’s kind of like my off season. It makes me love the warmer weather so much more!
Is there one question people never ask you but you always wish they did?
No, but there is one question I get asked that drives me nuts. People ask me why I talk so much, I usually don’t respond because it hurts. It is not my fault that I am a very excited person, I like expressing my happiness towards something or someone by words. It is super insulting to me when someone asks me this question. Because, most of the time I’m really excited to see that person or be in that situation. Once that question comes out, it changes everything. It makes me not want to be excited anymore and it changes my mood very quickly.
Tell us something people might not know about you?
I always take my hat off when I’m driving or riding by a cemetery.
What does 2009 have in store for you?
Working, relaxing, and riding!
What’s your favorite coffee?
I drink a Soy Cap twice a day.
Any plans for tonight?
Brian Kachinsky and I are going on the NBC Chicago news today at 2pm. Should be online in the next few days. Keep posted…
