Describe your personal bike setup:
I just like having most everything on the bike really high. I’m not really picky about the setup because it doesn’t take that long to get used to any setup. Also, just as long as nothing is rattling on the bike I’m good.
Describe the contents of your personal bike tool bag.
Ratchet, extension, 17mm, 15mm, 6mm allen key, spoke wrench, a 15 wrench for the pedals and then just a few other little things like some spacers.
What part do you wear through the quickest?
Probably pedals, grips, and tires.
What part do you break most often?
Chain… I have been pretty fortunate with not breaking stuff. Knock on wood.
Do you patch flat tires or get new tubes?
New tubes; I don’t have the patience for the patch thing
Which parts are you paranoid about breaking?
Anything in the front end. I hate even thinking about that.
Where do your parts go when you’re done with them?
Friends for sure. I like being able to hook my friends up with stuff when they need it. Or even somebody at the park or wherever that needs a part at the time and I have it.
Who builds your wheels? Anything special about them?
Nothing special about them, I usually get my friend Chris to build them. This last set that I’m running now I built though. It was difficult for sure.
Cassette or freecoaster?
Cassette; I just can’t do the freecoaster thing. Its just not for me. I like pedaling backwards on fakies.
Left side drive or right side drive?
Right side.
Kevlar bead or regular bead?
Kevlar… gotta love them.
Plastic pedals or metal?
Plastics… They’re lighter, and for luc-e grind stuff it just slides way better!
