The Fit/S&M/Shadow Conspiracy rail jam went down today at Interbike. The format for the jam was simple and straight forward. About 40 riders broken down into groups of 5 are given 10 minutes to ride in a jam format. The top 8 come back in for a final round. The winner takes a hawaiian S&M shirt, and a trip to Hawaii. Simple enough right? Throw a rail and some stairs in the mix and you have yourself one hell of a competition. Here are the photos of some of the goodness that went down…
Alex Raban with a crooked down the rail. Later he threw in a 180 out for good measure.
Dave Thompson had a real good time with the setup. Along with this barspin and X-up grind, he had some solid over tooth pick grinds.
Davey Watson didn’t fail to impress. Here he is with an over ice pick grind. He also did this with a manual before it. He spent most of the finals trying a backwards 360 manual across the deck to double peg but didn’t manage to pull it.
Eric Holley beat himself up on a few tricks during the jam. Here he is with a double crankflip.
Jake Seeley rode well, but got caught up trying a line. Here Jake is with a Luc-E down the rail.
Jared Washington was another one of the guys who beat himself up during the jam. Here he is with a crank slide.
Along with this manual down the rail, Justin Simpson had a few other bangers like a barspin to ice pick.
Mike Hoder was man handling the course with a few pegless grinds, and chainless tricks when he snapped his chain. Here Mike is 360ing over the rail.
Van Homan managed this whip down the stairs. He ended up with a bruised foot and wasn’t able to throw down too many tricks.
Kevin Kiraly was destroying the setup with big barspin to ice pick grinds, tailwhips, 360 tuck no-handers, truck drivers and more. He walked away with the win and a trip to Hawaii.
Expect plenty over video footage of this in the next few days, there was plenty of cameras capturing the tricks.
