  • SUNDAY VIDEO PREMIERE - ABERDEEN

  • posted 10 months ago
  • There has been loads of anticipation for Sunday‘s first full length video ‘Up, Up and Away’ and the list of worldwide premieres was huge. 20Twenty‘s main man, Mike ‘Mingo’ Elington and team rider Lewis Watson decided they should get the Scottish riders together for a good night of riding, beers and a new video. The location was Aberdeen’s Transition Extreme skatepark and a good turnout of riders showed up from all over Scotland. Everyone seemed to be having a good time with loads of people riding and catching up with old friends, and Mingo very kindly treated everyone to 5 crates of beer.

Most people seemed to be awaiting Aaron Ross’ section the most as can be expected by previous videos, but it was interesting to see the whole of Sunday’s team in one video for the first time. Aberdeen’s #1 hipster, Dis-honest John was definitely excited and couldn’t help but add his own sound affects in. Thinking back the section that seemed to stand out the most was Mike Taylor’s, with some hefty street maneuvers and one hell of a kinked rail. Everything he does is burly as all hell and he quite literally destroys spots with his riding, you’ll have to see it for yourself. I was interested to see what Aaron Ross came up with and he definitely doesn’t disappoint with his section, it was also pretty sweet to see the footage from the fountain he rides at in the latest Sunday advert. Other stand outs include Kurt Rasmusson, Joe Cox, and Jake Seeley all pulling out the stops for this video. The last section belonged to Ian Schwartz and his unique style shone through. It was in fact two sections, the first part seeming a bit more relaxed with tech riding and some spots which a lot of people would roll right past. The second part picked up the pace with some ridiculous riding and it clearly shows how much effort Ian put into it and i can’t even explain how wild one of the clips is! The Sunday riders definitely clocked some miles for ‘Up, Up and Away’ and the spots featured are from all over the place. If you missed one of the premieres make sure you pick up a copy of ‘Up, Up and Away’ and see it for yourself. Thanks go out to Mingo at 20Twenty, Lewis and Transition Extreme for a top night! -FM
