Pegs: Animal lights Combo front ‘n’ rear

    Weight of bike:
    A ‘lil’ under 25lbs.

    Modifications:
No headset cap and I also remove the astern slack adjustment screw completely, cause I run as much slack as possible.

    Describe your bike setup:
Pretty simple, Puff bars, 4 pegs, no brakes, free coaster ‘n’ dialed.

Describe the contents of your bike tool bag:
A socket wrench with a deep 17mm and short extension, mini pump, patch kit, tire levers, 1/4” Allen key, spoke wrench, folding
Allen keys, chain tool w/extra links and maybe one tube.  When I go on trips I’ll bring a pedal wrench, adjustable wrench, extra spokes, nipples, tubes, and tires (cause they’re folding).

What part do you wear through the quickest?
    Grips and tires.

What part do you break most often?
    Chains ‘n’ headsets.

Do you patch flat tires or get new tubes?
Usually I patch my tubes but if I’m in a rush, I’ll just change the tube right away ‘n’ patch the other one later.

Which parts are you paranoid about breaking?
    Forks.

Where do your parts go when you’re done with them?
Usually give them to people that may need it at the time or if I’m strapped for cash I’ll sell it accordingly.

Who builds your wheels? Anything special about them?
I usually build my wheels. For the past 4 or 5 years I’ve been building my front wheel radial ‘n’ my rear wheel 3 cross on the drive side, radial on the non… it doesn’t matter what side is cross ‘n’ radial cause I’ve built a few the opposite way before. One side jugs has to be crossed to accept the torque that is applied when pressure is put on the chain.

    Cassette or freecoaster (and why)?
Freecoaster cause I’m hooked, but I have a bike with a cassette that I ride sometimes. RAD all day.

Kevlar bead or regular bead (tires, and why)?
Kevlar cause I can save weight without unnecessary holes everywhere. Some say you get more flats with Kevlars but I see no difference, learn to ride the road.

Plastic pedals or metal (and why)?
These days I use plastic cause it doesn’t hurt as much on the shins and they’re lighter as well. The only thing I wish; is that companies offered some kind of recycling rebate program or something. This way consumers, riders alike, and shops can send them in to be melted down ‘n’ used for more pedals or other plastic parts (seats, bar ends, reflectors, etc). For example, at Dah shop we collect any kind of old metal parts whether it’s steel or aluminum ‘n’ take it to scrap metal place that takes care of it once they get it. Think about it, almost everything on a bicycle can be recycled one way or another, we just have to start thinking that way as a whole ‘n’ maybe it can be a new wave to help the industry. If the industry has factories to make the products, why not come up with factories to recycle them. It’s a far-fetched thought but I think it can be done.
