RAPID RESPONSE: CHRISTIAN RIGAL

Name: Christian Rigal

Age: 20

Sponsors: Demolition Parts, Nike 6.0, Gatorade

How are things going with Demolition these days? Anything big besides the DVD in the works with them and you?
Things are going great! Everyone on the team is really cool and all the parts I run are dialed. I don’t live too far from the warehouse either so It’s nice to be able go over there if I need anything or if i have to meet up with Brian or Jason. Aside from finishing up Last Chance and keeping up with monthly web edits, were not working on anything else at the moment.

Any other sponsor news?
No, nothing I can think of.

How is your part for the Last Chance video coming along? Who’s part in the video are you most stoked for? When is the deadline and when is the video expected to drop?
It’s coming along good so far. It’s been hard not having someone around who films, but my friends are getting the hang it. I’m going to have to say I’m most stoked for Rob Wise’s part. I’ve been working on his part with him and everyday were out filming he finds a way to do something I didn’t think was possible. We are planning to have the video done for Interbike, but if everyone isn’t happy with where their at then we will push it back. So far were looking good.

I know you’re solid behind the camera as well. Have you been doing some of the filming for the video as well?
Thanks man. Yea, I’ve been keeping busy filming the guys each month for the DVD and web content, both A and B team riders. But so far most of my time has been spent filming Rob and Dennis’ Parts. Those two are really pushing the limits for this video.

How are you?
I’m doing good thanks, just chillen at home, kinda hungry, and sore.

What’s new in your life?
Nothing really new right now, just doing my thing in San Diego, riding everyday, filming everyday, going on trips from time to time.

Where are you right now?
At my house in La Mesa. I’m about to go ride some street for a bit, then probably go to Claremont and ride the park. It’s been a while since I did that.

Where are you off to next?
I’m planning to go to Salt Lake, Colorado, Pennsylvania, Chicago, Vegas, and Austin in the next 3 months for different riding/filming trips.

Sounds like you have your summer planned. Anywhere you would like to make happen that isn’t planned yet?
I’ll just been doing a couple more film trips for Last Chance as well as for a DVD I’m producing with Dennis Enarson. I’d like to make it back to Spain and stay for at least 3 weeks, there’s too many good spots out there and we got rained out on our last trip.

What does your average daily routine consist of these days?
I will usually wake up, check my E-mail and then see what’s new on The Come Up, twitter and bmxfeed. After that I’ll take a shower and eat breakfast. If I don’t have anything going on I’ll hit up some friends and see who wants to go ride. After the session we might have people over at our house or just keep it mellow and work on my computer for the night.

Tell us something people might not know about you.
I used to ride with brakes, no pegs and mostly did pegless an pedal grinds. Now I’m hooked on 4 pegs.

What does the rest of 2010 have in store for you?
Hopefully I’ll be traveling more, meet some new people, push my riding as well as filming and just keep having a good time.

Any plans for tonight?
We might have some people over at our house, but no real plans yet. Thanks Kurt.
