Describe your personal bike setup.
I try to keep it pretty basic. Lately it’s been four pegs, no brakes, big bars. I keep my seat up a bit high. Recently stepped up to a bigger frame, but I have a super short back end now. Easily the best feeling bike I’ve had in a long time. All black everything, real plain and simple. Light and solid.
Describe the contents of your personal bike tool bag.
Hah, I am absolutely useless at working on a bike so I don’t carry much. A tube sometimes if I remember.
What part do you wear through the quickest?
All the usual stuff. Grips, tires, chains. Other than that all this new Fit stuff has been amazing. Dialed.
What part do you break most often?
I rarely actually break parts. Pretty tough on wheels, but nothing Orbell’s Garage can’t fix up for me if I need it.
Which parts are you paranoid about breaking?
Chains. Definitely chains. I place a very high value on my kneecaps.
Where do your parts go when you’re done with them?
Homies and kids, in that order. My stuff is usually pretty beat when I’m done with it though so I rarely have too too much to hook up. Do what I can.
Who builds your wheels? Anything special about them?
I got Chijioke to build these beat ass joints like three years ago. I’m sure every spoke is from a different shop by now.
What’s up with the Skavenger sticker? New co-sponsor?
Hah, what? Nah. SKVR is just dope. All my cool friends made fun of a big New Era sticker I had until I finally peeled it off, then I was at Core in Toronto and found that Skavenger one. I don’t really think about stickers, haha. Maybe I should. I’ll just say it’s an Edwin tribute.

I feel like Canada is a frosty mess by now. What are your plans for the winter? Do you have many options to ride?
I’m around Toronto and if I was brave I could probably still ride outside, but fuck that. The area I’m in got hit with like two feet overnight though recently. Winnipeg got hit hard too, so those homies are riding the REPSET warehouse pretty heavy. I’m heading to England for a while in January to stay with some dudes, just so I can take my time and see Europe properly. Doing Barcelona right off the bat and I’m way too excited.
What’s up with Repset these days anyways? It seems like you have been back on that game pretty heavy lately?
Yeah man, I have. Glad someone noticed, ha. It’s always just been a little side project. Been doing the ‘set for like six years now so I figure I might as well keep it going. I really just like having a spot to put everything cool going on in Canada. We have a good scene up here all across the country and it’s deece to be able to see it all in one spot with a little more focus.
Since 2010 is pretty much done. What are your plans for 2011? Do you have any trips, video parts to film, or anything like that?
All I have officially planned is Barcelona, and then hanging around England for a bit afterwards. Hopefully see as much of Europe as I can. I’m not cool enough for a real video part, but I’m planning to get busy and clock some stuff when I’m over there. Shout outs to The Donn for always pointing a camera at me, hope he’s not over it by the time I get there.

Speaking of filming. When can we expect another edit out of you? The last one turned out pretty dialed.
Thanks man, I really appreciate it. I’m beyond stoked for Barcelona. I’ll be staying in England / going on trips with The Donn, he’s the homie who filmed my last edit. So with him on board I really have no excuse to not try and put something dope together in Spain.
What’s the last song you heard, movie you watched and website you visited?
Listened to this bad bitch Rasheeda on the subway today. Last movie I watched was FU4, the best BMX production of all time. Last website I visited was FitBikeCo.com because I couldn’t remember the real name of half the parts I ride due to being an idiot.
What are you getting into after I stop asking all these questions?
I’m in Toronto right now waiting for my BMXFU homies to show up. My Toronto connect, TJ Stevenson, is having a homebrew Four Loko party tonight so we’re going to get loose, then I.C.C. premiere tomorrow.
Anything else you want to say?
Of course! Big ups to everyone at The Fit Building as well as Bernie, Craig, and Isaac at 1664 Distribution. Can’t ever thank those dudes enough. They’ve been a bunch of pimps of the last couple years. All the BMXFU guys. Best dudes ever. Orbell’s Garage. Adam at TCU. Jake Montgomery for the stem soup-ups. Shout outs to all my Winnipeg fam. My Mansion dudes, Wayne Hartman, Eric Marshall, Dave and James McNabb, and all the 204 kids. Lucky Lager. Kurt Hohberger at DIG / BMXUNION for hookin’ it up as usual. Always gotta give props to the dudes puttin’ me up lately. TJ and Chris Silva in Toronto, Lee Dennis and Cliff Martin at the FU House, Bobby Hill. Drew Labonte at the HammerHouse. My English crew, The Donn, Safe Nath, CDAWG, and Tom Sanders. Jeremy Deme and the Tenpack crew, Capital BMX, ICC, and them EMBASSY dudes. I’m really bad with shout outs, I could seriously go on forever and ever. Watch out for 2011, grind stunt go hard. Rep your sets.
