Describe your personal bike setup:
Sick! Ha ha! Low frame, with tall bars and a low cut down steerer tube. This gives me more room… I feel like the stem should be slammed but the reach on the front of the stem gives me the prefect height for my bars. I ride a tight rear-end: 13.25. I like my seat to be low for more clearance as well. If you’re not familiar with the Tierra frame, it is designed to give maximum room on the top. We did that by lowering the top tube and making a smaller stack height.

Describe the contents of your personal bike tool bag:
I am now riding the new SBS system on my frame. So I have my brakes completely intact in my bike tool bag; along with a spoke wrench, chain tool and a few small allen keys. One Ruben Ligeras tire and one Cobra tube.
What part do you wear through the quickest?
Nothing on my bike wears through. My Duffs go first but even those hold up for over a month of no brakes. 20 years of riding bikes—my set up is Dialed!
What part do you break most often?
Don’t!
Do you patch flat tires or get new tubes?
Cobra tubes bro— wave of the future. I ride those and patch them as well.
Which parts are you paranoid about breaking?
Bars, stems and head tubes.
Where do your parts go when you’re done with them?
Friends and family!
Who builds your wheels? Anything special about them?
Hanson Little, Tom Williams and myself.
Cassette or freecoaster?
Cassette.
What revisions have been made to the Tierra v3?
This model has a few new features; It now has integrated dropouts with integrated chain tensioners. The integrated dropouts are a process called invest casting. It has a horizontally cut seat clamp system; this system helps keep the seat in place with not very much torque on the seat clamp bolt. Tapered top tube, down tube, seat tube and stays. Plus it comes in a super cool mint color!!!
Left side drive or right side drive?
Right side drive
Kevlar bead or regular bead?
I ride the kevlar Ruben Ligeras tires—they are awesome because they fold up. So you can carry an extra one in your bag.
Plastic pedals or metal?
I ride the new Ruben graphite pedals. They are a special compound made of nylon and glass.
